Extinct or not

There are many types of spiders in 2008 40,000 species have been Identified. Spiders are different than any other arthropods, they only have two segments instead of three. The spider we are talking about is the Barking Spider. It has been around since the dawning of time, but recently been rediscovered after it was thought to be extinct. The sientific name for this particular arthropod is "fartalicus Butticous". Which to me sound a little wierd but who am I to judge.
